IT
in Education Module (Reflective Journal)
I
was lucky to have chosen ICT as my optional module this semester. Though the
teaching time by our tutor, Mr. Chenga Dorji was very short, within that short
time, he taught us the basic things to work online and I learned more by
writing assignments. The assignment was like some sort of platform for me to
explore further. I had to explore to do my assignment; in the process I learned
many new things.
During
my residential school in SCE (Samtse College of Education), my tutor taught me,
on how to use Google Form. I got chance to do it practically but still due to
time constrains, I couldn’t learn much. To explore further, he gave an
assignment, where I had to make Survey questionnaire using Google Form. While doing
that assignment, I explored, I called my friends for help and I also called my
tutor many times, eventually I did my assignment successfully. One thing that I
learned from writing that assignment is; we can learn ICT through exploration.
If there is doubt, there is Google search and it provides the solution.
Today
all most all the people uses ICT, it also being taught as one of the subjects
from class VII, so in such case, we can use Google form in our daily teaching
and learning processes. We can post questions in Google form and let our
students answer on line. We can conduct survey by preparing questionnaires in
the Google form and share it with people and request them to answer the questionnaires. There are many more we can do it in our teaching learning processes.
